Attractions An interesting development that is currently taking place in Fort Belvoir is the construction of the National Museum of the U.S. Army. Scheduled to open in late 2019, this museum will narrate the different experiences of the 30 million courageous army men and women that have ever served in the army since 1775. The museum will include galleries, an Army theater as well as an Experiential Learning Center. Its outdoor features will include a Parade Ground, Army Trail and a Memorial Garden among others. Other Facts Belvoir is interestingly identified as the largest employer in Fairfax County, and has an employee population that doubles that of The Pentagon.
